Not every weight loss tip will work for everyone. We all have to find our own formula for weight loss.
I am still finding my personal formula. Right now I am following a mostly vegetarian diet, cutting way back on breads and grains, and eating loads of fruits and vegetables. I track all my food in the nutrition tracker, and I'm pleased to say that my new eating plan is also very low in sodium; most days I am under 1000 mg. I find that I am satisfied with 3 meals and do not need snacks. I am really enjoying the food and feel really healthy. My weight loss is progressing steadily. I am about 15 pounds from my ultimate goal weight.
The stumbling block in my program happens when I eat with other people. Dining out it difficult. Choosing a restaurant, selecting the healthy items from the menu...very difficult when my dining companions are not following a weight loss program (or even a healthy diet). This week I will be dining out tonight (Wednesday, pizza with Rich), Friday (somewhere with Sara), Saturday (Momma D's with Rich) and then having breakfast on Sunday morning with Dad. I'd so much rather do my own cooking.
