And now I am behind....

Diet, ok, exercise none. It really looks like being on vacation is taking it's toll on me. I am not gaining any weight, but as busy as we have been with all that is going on I am really just maintaining at this point.
I took our long haired cat into the vet/groomers today. He had managed to get burrs on his belly and I was not really willing to try and get them out myself. There is a new vet in town and they have a groomer on site so we gave her a try. She was able to groom him, bathe him and clip his belly without any sedation. She gets a thumbs up from me. I was hoping to get a pic, but I had a riding lesson to go to and the hubby picked him up and took of 'some crap they had around his neck' in his words and sent him back to the barn. lol They are both in tonight. I have no reason, they were just hanging out with us this evening while we were outside so they came in to spend the night with us.
I had a wonderful lesson on Swing. We worked on some leg yielding and then reverted back to keeping him from taking over and dragging me back to the wall and then more leg yielding. We did some trot work and working on teaching me to post higher to help him lengthen ..post higher not faster..... Then we did some sitting trot again and had some lovely canter work and then some horrible transitions back to sitting trot. However, I got the last transition back with in a stride or 2 and was super happy!! It was a lovely lesson.
I was supposed to go get the rest of the stuff from my moms but went out to eat with the inlaws instead, then did barn chores followed by cleaning out the trailer at 9 o'clock at night. It is time to relax and head off to slumberland.....

Transtions were always hard for me too. Sometimes it was easier to sit the canter than the trot. Practice makes perfect and with the right horse, a whole lot of fun. Enjoy! emoticon

Sounds like you and I have the same riding issues..the canter to trot transitions are rough for me..my poor horse..
Vacations always seem to be so filled with enjoyable things that the time flies by and before you know it you are back to work..sigh..enjoy
