Euphoria... Orgasm... and The Yoke!

I am still in the afterglow of yesterdays "workout high". Coach says it's caused by a release of endorphins. Uh huh.. Okay... Whatever. All I know is that it felt AMAZING! Ah-may-zing. So, today, I've been trying to explain to people what the "euphoric" feeling I got after the workout was like. Lots of people said "yeah, I think I've felt that", some said they'd heard of "runners high" and others nodded with an all knowing little smirk "oh yeah"... and those people- the smirkers? - I knew had experienced it before. I finally came up with an analogy... it's like an orgasm... you may "think" you've had one but when you really do - there is no doubt! I cannot wait to experience it again!!
So, I tell all this to my Coach tonight and he says he just read an article where women doing certain exercises have an orgasm DURING the exercise?? Wh wh wh what??? I laughed and told him I'd be sure to let him know if that happened... ROFL... kils me... So, I googled it when I got home and sure nuf! There are exercise induced orgasms (EIO)... not kidding... it has it's own acronym.. anyhoo.. if you want to read more about it here's the link www.cbsnews.com/8301-504

But I digress... So, yesterday I forgot my FITBIT.. so today I had a plan!! I posted these notes at my door and in my car:
and it worked!! I did not forget my FITBIT.
Tonight was CrossFit #22... and all three things were new... after the warmup, I did 3 rounds of 5 overhead presses (45lb bar), 5 yoke carries (see picture below) and 5 burpees for time. It took me 13:09 to finish. The burpees were NOT pretty.. and Coach filmed one so that in the future when I"m able to do them well, I can look back and go WOW. Right now? I watch it and go WHOA.. LOL but, for me, they are very hard.

I burned another 500+ calories!! Yeah... and when I got home I was craving protein and so that's what I ate.. about 68grams!! I figure my body must need it to build all the muscle I'm putting on! Yeah baby.
