Surprise Day Off

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

Well, today was I got a surprise blessing of getting the day off work. I was scheduled to work since I'll be out of town later this week and will miss my normal work day, but we got ANOTHER big snow and the local schools were on a 2 hour delay so my boss' wife called and said to just stay home and take the day off.

I didn't argue at all. I figured this would be a great day to get some stuff done and my new boss had asked me to help her out a bit so I was able to do that as well. I was WAY less productive than I should've been but it was SUPER nice to be home and I did get plenty done...no exercise though. It's becoming a bad habit.

Tonight the kids and I helped out serving at our church's monthly community meal and then helped with clean up so in addition to working around the house it's not as though I was inactive, just can't seem to get myself to do formal exercise which is weird since I enjoy it. I'm still pretty tired in general so apparently I'm still recovering from being sick.

I suspect I'll be plenty active this weekend at my family reunion, so this week will just be an abnormality in my otherwise active life. I'm not thrilled with my food this past week either, so my weight sucks this week. Bad food choices and no exercise = weight gain. SURPRISE, SURPRISE!
