Well it's been a good week and a bad week, I guess we all have that sort of week on occasion. Let's start with the good. I have lost enough weight that I have been able to stop taking one of the blood pressure pills I was on. Still on one, but one is better than two. With the two my blood pressure was dropping too low and I was getting bad bouts of dizzy spells.

The bad news; I had a bad dizzy spell and ended up collapsing in my kitchen, and with the fall I ended up badly spraining my ankles. I am still in a bit of pain with them but I am finally able to get up off the couch. 5 days on the couch with my feet up has not been fun at all. And to add insult to injury, I gained 1.5 pounds. This was due mainly to not being able to move for so long, as well as having a husband that can't cook so he ended up bring home restaurant food to feed us while I wasn't able to cook. I would think that the pill I stopped might also be having an effect, it was a water pill, for removing excess water from your system, and now that it's gone I guess my system could be hanging onto a bit of water as well.

But I will continue to plug along, I am doing all the right things again, well still can't do my daily walk, but should be back to that in a couple of days. I am back to cooking so I am eating healthy again. I know I am doing the right things so I'll continue, with hopes that my body and the scale will start behaving a little better.

    Great about dropping one of your meds. Yuck about sprained ankles and a husband who can't cook. Time to re-train him ; )

That sneaky 1.5 lbs will go quickly enough once you're up and about and not getting all the extra salt that comes in restaurant meals, no worries.

    Sorry about the sprained ankle. Hope you will get up and get around. 1.5 pound weight gain is not a lot. You will lose it before you know it.

    Glad to hear you're getting better!!! Don't be too hard on yourself when you were down, what matters is how you get back up!

    I am sorry that you had a bad fall but glad that you are getting back on track. Just take it slow and you will be there before you know it.
