Snow in April? Well, I guess it IS moisture. Hope this is the end of the WINTER weather!

Hurt my knee last week in Hoop Class. We do 30 minutes of hoop-less exercises at the end of class and my knee didn't like lunges/squats too much. The pain hasn't gone away in the week since I did it, despite taking pain meds and such. So, went to the doctor today. She took an x-ray that didn't turn up anything. I personally think it's a sprained ligament, but doctor wanted to see if it's related to previous knee caps popping out of place issues. One thing she did say was that I'm supposed to stay off of it as far as exercise goes for another week or two. emoticon That doesn't help! I weighed 5 pounds more this week on the Dr.'s scale than I did last week! Part of that might be the fact that I'm wearing a heavier sweater today than I was last week, but I know a lot of it is the fact that I haven't been able to do any exercise because of my knee this past week! I may eventually just have to fight through the pain....

Haven't had a chance to actually talk to "Miami" yet but I figure he was busy getting back in the school routine yesterday. Hopefully tonight!

    Not being able to exercise is hard when trying to lose weight. Hang in there, the time will pass and you'll be back at it. Have you thought of trying any water based classes to be gentler on the knees?

    You should be able to find some exercises that will just work the arms. That will also help you. When I had surgery on my foot last winter I also used resistance bands - mostly with my arms, but also with my 1 leg that I could still use. Try looking into some of those alternatives. Bad knees are not fun, but many times the injuries just take rest. Good luck.

    I know what you mean about painful knees etc. Have you heard about the chair exercise team? I joined the team the other day. There are also the chair exercises on Spark that you might use until your knee is better.
