Nothing wrong with losing 2 lbs, gaining 1lb. Your still down 1.
I think your trying to do too many things at a time and in doing so our failing at all of them, and then just throw in the towel.
Lets start with the water if that's one of your things.
Strive for 4 glasses of water this week, 5 next week, 6 the next, you get the picture
In 6 weeks you will have formed the habit (they saying doing anything for 21 consecutive times forms a habit)
Just think back 6 weeks how much water where you drinking then? The next 6-8 weeks will go by if you increase your water habit or not, so why not give it a try.
Try to think of what you can have instead of what you can't have. Want a cookie, have it, but, you have to eat a piece of fruit first.
Give it a try. We're here for you

I've got exactly the same problem these days. Got up at 4 to let the puppy out to pee, and ate 2 croissants while I was waiting. What a dummy!! Oh well - today's a new day, right? We can do it !! emoticon

emoticon One little step at time. At least you are being health conscious and you're doing something about it. As long as you don't quit you will move forward!
