Week 14 Ironman training

For those of you who don't know... the Ironman training plan counts down.. not up.. this week has me @ 6 hours of training... OY! I've been struggling lately with a lot.. a nonworking HRM so i've been estimating.. I have a friend getting rid of one just because he upgraded to a newer model.. I"m currently using his. the accuracy seems to be spot on.. which has led me to 2 conclusions.. 1 i knew.. one i had suspected... the one i knew.. I'm not eating nutritionally WELL.. I've gotten better about recording all the way up til dinner time.. and then seem to lack energy and/or inspiration to track after.. which has led me to graze on crap i don't really need or want.. which leads to my other thing i suspected... With a more accurate calorie count.. I've come to realize even though i'm snacking and eating CRAP... i'm still not eating ENOUGH..

SOOOOOO.. how has this affected me?? well I'm UP 3.75 inches on my waist, and 3.25 on my hips which is basically fat... lets face it... However PERKS... with the calf, thigh and arm.. i'm up an inch.. but i can tell you without having to post body pics on here THAT that gain is muscle.. you can see the muscle development..


my game plan....

1.) track it all.. even the refuel. be accountable for what i'm shoving into my mouth.. because the junk is affecting my energy level.. I'm feeling sapped of energy..

2.) modification of the food plan should help with the shedding the last 18 pounds, but more importantly inches. :)

3.) going to start using the sparkpeople video's for arm workouts again.. sometimes a familiar face helps motivate with the crunch time i feel i have sometimes..

4.) make sure i'm getting in my water.. because sometimes the water is from the lack of re hydration after a workout... which in the evening when i'm really tired is hard to accomplish.


So i'm off to prep for a bike ride and run.. Keep on keeping on sparkers.. today looks like it's going to be a fantastic day!
