Added distance, but lost time.

I decided that since I wasn't "winded" enough that I'd add a little distance this morning. I only added 4 or 5 blocks, but I was pleasantly surprised that I ran it 5 minutes faster than yesterday. The tips I've received have really helped so emoticon

I don't know if I'll ever run more than a 5K, but I like how I feel when I'm done running. I always teased my "running" cousin that runners never smile when working out. I now understand that really no one smiles when working out. They are too busy concentrating on breathing, doing a move correctly, concentrating on form, or are lost in thought during the bliss of being one with themselves.

I really am happy with the choices I've made. I've read lots of blogs about choices and how hard they can be to make. I understand that! That was me! It does get easier so don't give up and emoticon emoticon together!

    I don't think I ever smile when I run- I normally look a little bit like I'm dying. But it is such a great workout. Your body will eventually get used to the time and effort, and then who knows where you will go? Keep up the awesome work!

    I love reading your blogs about running. I'm still slow but getting there. I really enjoy the 5Ks and have never had a desire to run any longer than that..... until recently.

    I'm thinking about shooting for 10Ks next year. We'll see, I still have some work to do on my 5Ks. Never say never!

    Keep on running and blogging about it. You are inspiring me!

    I have fallen in love with running and I started doing it last month. Before that, I don't think I could run for an entire minute. I ran my first half in October and loved it. Running is such a great way to relieve stress. I have come to realize that a lot of being able to run farther is more of a mental thing.
