Natural Help for Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Monday, April 22, 2013

If you have any personal anecdotal stories, that are FIRST HAND, please put them in comments.

By "natural help" I mean NON SURGICAL HELP, and NO OVER THE COUNTER MEDS, and NO PRESCRIPTION MEDS.

If you are afraid to post them publicly, please SparkMail me for my email address, if you are willing to email outside of SP.

I am reviewing Natural News articles, and will post what I find. I already knew about EFAs, turmeric, vitamin D, gluten, and nightshades. I have just begun my research though, and have everything to learn.

Gluten was mentioned in Natural News; so I'll add it to the list above in my blog.

I also heard actress Marilou Henner, "Taxi", talk about the nightshades & arthritis. Abstaining does help some people. I'll add nightshades to the list above. Gluten, nightshades, and sugar are on my list of things to research. I am looking for root causes. For example, if you lessen the pain naturally, but your joints are still being eaten up, that is NOT a good thing.

emoticon everyone!

    Gentle exercise helps me. Walking.

Many years ago my mother felt that alfalfa seed tea helped to some degree. I haven't used it since I didn't like the taste.

I have also found that cutting out gluten helps a LOT! Also, no sugar as it causes inflammation. I can tell within 20 minutes in my joints if I have had gluten, and it can take several days to get out of the system totally.

Cut out all wheat products and veggies in the nightshade family (tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant etc).

I have not found a natural help for the arthritus. I rely on taking Osto-Biflex Glousamine
and do not let myself run out of it. I have heard of mixing honey and vinegar with a little warm water and taking this each day as a help. Looking forward to your posting these helps.
