The words of motivation come so easy...but why is it so hard to actually do it?

I'm finding it difficult right now to have "me" time. Whether it's to exercise, fix a good meal or just relax. The school year is ending, which means lots of homework for my kids. I'm very involved with their school work, so I always put this first. Spring sports is underway for my son, track, baseball and football conditioning. Sometimes he leaves the house with 3 duffle bags. So ya know what that means...lots of laundry for mom. My son is also going through confirmation classes. My daughter is gearing up for her 8th grade graduation. Then it's quarter end at my job, always a crazy time to hit those first quarter targets and my hubby's job is crazy right now. It seems we're running here and there all day and everyone gets home at different times. I'm either in the kitchen making dinner or reheating it. Major multi-tasking going on too.

I absolutely love the motivational quotes and words of encouragement for my healthy journey...I just wish I would put them to use!! So what does a busy, full-time working mom/wife do at times like these? My needs are always the last to get attention. So at 10:30 pm - my house is finally quiet and I have some me time - in between folding baskets of laundry...only two more loads to finish for tonight.

This is my busy time of year. I will barely have time to breathe until after school is out. Good thing they created Depends, cause I'm not sure there is time for bathroom breaks either. emoticon

Oh how I can relate to this blog. I remember the hectic, crazy days being mom to 5 with working full time, being a pastor's wife, household chores & of course there was helping with homework. It sure left me feeling stretched at both ends.
Now that the kids are grown, it's easier, just a little glimmer of hope to focus on. emoticon
