Day 212 : I Cannot Change Yesterday

Monday, April 22, 2013

Yesterday I took a rest day, and well I needed it. Had to be up at 5am this morning to run hubby to work, so I could get my 6 year old to her follow up appointment this morning. Wish we had 2 running vehicles, would be so much easier. Anyways, he has so far 99% confirmed she has GERD, and wants to reweigh her for a couple more months, and monitor her. He figures if things get worse or not better he will send her to the specialist. But is wondering if she isn't exaggerating a bit being that she is only 6. Her appetite has increased a ton, and she no longer takes over 2 hours to eat. Plus she gained a pound since he seen her last. Which is wonderful. Me on the other hand, I can now focus on myself again. I've been getting worse with the incidents, but now it's not everyday, only about 4 days a week roughly. So better but not I guess. Need to push further for my issues, so I can get healthier quicker, and be happier.
Today I got lots done, went grocery shopping, although less money, and things costing more I have to cut back on some of my staples that help me eat better. So that's a bummer. I did pick up some frozen blueberries to either make a smoothie with or add to my special k cereal in the morning. Rise and Shine challenge still going pretty good too. All in all I've walked almost 4 miles, speed shopping lol. And helped hubby on the house. Didn't get much done for regular housework, but that will be added to the long to do list for tomorrow I suppose. I took the kids out for their spring pictures, I tend to do them myself, costs less and I'm pretty good at it at least. So need to sort through those for the good ones. Other than that not much to update on. Plus, need to work on my collage, I have one now, but needs to be updated since it's more like a collage wall lol for my Sprouting Hollyhocks. Still fitting in my exercise though. *Fingers Crossed* I will be under 170 by the end of May. Here's my smiles for the day:

Sounds like a very busy day and a little one to take care of on top of that. I can relate to the one vehicle situation and sitting long periods driving can be tiring as well. I hope this rest day offered some recovery for you and your daughter will be well. emoticon

That is really sad for someone that young to have GERD, I hope you get some answers and good medication from the specialist.

Love the pics, especially the dog eating an ice cream cone!
