Not So Bad

Monday, April 22, 2013

Well, even with this weekend that included so much bad food, I didn't actually gain anything per the scale at the Carson 24 Hour Fitness. I am amazed by that and now I am back on track in a big way, so I think I will take that little slip up. It was totally worth it. I won't do it again in the near future, but you have got to have crazy horrible food every once in awhile. I mean sure there are people out there that probably never TOUCH chili cheese fries, but...I am not one of those people. I did SHARE the burger and fries, and the quesidilla the next day. So sharing is better than eating the whole thing.

I found out I like Almond Milk. Yum!

Almond milk IS yummy!! And yeah, chili cheese fries sound soooo good, I could never be the kind of person who just never eats stuff like that ever again. But I do what you do - I share that kind of food nowadays instead of eating a whole plate by myself. I think that's an excellent strategy when it comes to special treat food!

you need your rewards and happy eating now and then now you are back on track and moving forward no harm or fowl unless you do it every day

Balance, moderation. I do think that part of this learning experience is to learn when and how much of these sorts of life's little pleasures that we can 'safely' indulge in. To totally abstain, gives one a sense of deprivation. Martyrdom with food is not a healthy mental attitude.

each day is a fresh chance to choose ---and you are the queen of making educated choices----sometimes we just knowingly have to make bad ones that come with some kind of consequence, and then we step up and face the consequence head on, get over it and move on.. don't start beating yourself up for the bad ones--"do the time" and move on. even the Carson gym scale isn't holding on to a long hard grudge.- enjoy your visit with your friend

Nobody is perfect and if they say they are then they are lying! I had one of those weekends last weekend...ate an entire bag of baked cheetos by myself!! Killed my points for the day but I tracked them ALL!!!! :)
Starting over is the best thing :) Good luck this week!

Almond milk is so good! No one's perfect and I'm like you I need a spurge every now and then to keep me focused otherwise all I think about is food - all the bad stuff all the time. Have a fantastic week!

Sounds like a totally healthy and sensible attitude to take on the whole situation. You don't HAVE to be perfect, you are definitely making progress.
