End of the beginning

Monday, April 22, 2013

My husband's final paper is wrapping up and then he was one final. I'm not sure how long before he'll know for sure if he passes law school. I'm sure he does, and if there's any issue they would work something out. It's just one of those things. And the real challenge is the bar exam at the end of July.

But today he was back to working during the daytime. And we can expect to eat dinner as a family. Less waking up in the middle of the night, one hopes.

We talked about our master meal idea list yesterday related to this. He likes to eat more protein. And then there's lunches. When he worked at night he wanted more freggies and sometimes Juice. Now he can have more sandwiches since its less of an issue him needing to stay awake. That is, he wanted to eat frequently to stay awake, so lower calorie density. Now he wants fast and convenient.

It's funny to be home with the toddler during the day, like 2006.

Good luck to your DH with the bar exam. I understand that need to eat frequently. Afternoons are tough for me, so I eat protein for lunch, then spread out mini-snacks of fruit, veggies, and yogurt every hour or hour and a half till quitting time. That allows me to graze, which my body seems to want, and the result is a full meal spread out over several hours (usually less than 500 calories total, lunch + snacks).
