I read an article today which stated that healthy people with higher vitamin D levels in their blood may enjoy several benefits, apart from improved bone health.

There are two ways we can obtain vitamin D:

1. It can be ingested - eaten or drunk

2. It can be synthesized by the body when our skin is exposed to the sun.

What could be better than a day of golf in the sun as a way to get vitamin D?

In my book, just about nothing, however, we are warned about getting too much sun so using caution and sun screen is recommended.

    Perfect excuse for golf! Not that I think you needed one! Actually you have to leave off the sun screen to actually get the vitamin D (read something on that recently) BUT you only need something like 10 minutes a week to meet your requirement. emoticon

    I'm one who has to take vitamin D. My last bloodwork showed a deficit. Maybe we'll have spring here sometime soon. Enjoy!
