I read an article today which stated that healthy people with higher vitamin D levels in their blood may enjoy several benefits, apart from improved bone health.
VITAMIN D IS UNIQUE!
There are two ways we can obtain vitamin D:
1. It can be ingested - eaten or drunk
2. It can be synthesized by the body when our skin is exposed to the sun.
What could be better than a day of golf in the sun as a way to get vitamin D?
In my book, just about nothing, however, we are warned about getting too much sun so using caution and sun screen is recommended.
