So true. Ask anyone that knows me. I fall up the stairs, down the stairs, trip over my own feet, trip on nothing, I bump into everything, drop things left and right I sprained my ankle tripping down the stairs and gave myself an concussion getting out of the car (yes that is a true story)..I am not a coordinated person which is why I am sitting here wondering why I am attempting to do a dance workout program. To answer my own question.... because even though I can't dance; I still like to.
I been looking at Hip Hop Abs for a while. It's only a 30 day program, which I like. I can never seem to stick with the 90 day programs. I get board easily and need to change what I am doing a lot (that would be the Gemini in me) It was at a great price, around $15, it's low impact, which is important to me, and looked fun so I decided what the heck and ordered it.
So today was day one of my Hip Hop Abs adventure, It started with Fat Burning Cardio and let me tell you it was um...interesting. I think I did fairly well although I doubt I looked nearly as good dance as Shaun T and the others on the DVD. I managed to stay on my feet which I think was quite impressive. Sure I did some tripping and felt completely awkward but over all I had fun and according to my Bodymedia Fit band I burned around 280 calories. Not to bad for an awkward 25 minutes of stumbling over myself. I get to do it again tomorrow so hopefully I feel more comfortable with it and be able to get into more.
Since it is my first day I did the dreaded weigh-in and measurements. I am hoping these are lower after the 30 days are up.
