Healthy Step

Well this weekend I decided that I would make and effort to cook and I really am out of practice in the Kitchen. So my goal for this week is to work more in the kitchen and dedicate myself to making healthier meals. If anyone knows me this is more than a babystep. Ever since I can remember I have never liked to cook. For many years, I was the only one at home and then I decided that it was just easier to grab something than to actually make the effort to cook.

But I have decided that I have to take responsibility for making meals that will be healthy and everyone that lives with me will just have to eat what there is to eat or find something else on their own to eat. (grin)

So, here's hoping that I can learn to cook healthy and making it delicious...wish me luck!

    Awesome! I will definitely look at the slow cooker recipes. I spend a lot of time alone because my husband works nights and I work days...so anything I can make that will be good for him at night will be great! :)

    Look at the spark people recipes- especially the slow cooker ones- I have found them very easy to make and something that my whole family will eat. Any time I can just dump a bunch of stuff in the crock and have it turn out great- I am happy. And if later in the evening you eat a little more of it- you haven't done any real damage to yourself. emoticon emoticon
