A bit more about these goals....

My first goal was to stick with weight loss for longer than 5 weeks. I'm now at 7 weeks. Wahoo!!

What I noticed this weekend is that the last two times I attempted weight loss (since having my daughter in November 2008), I stuck with it for about 5-6 weeks. And each time, including this one, I lost 16.5lbs. Predictable, eh? This also gives me some of that confidence in my body that I've been looking for. It will lose the weight, if I follow the rules.

The other side of that is the whole sticking with it for 5-6 weeks. I am still losing, but my mind has definitely gone through a shift since those first weeks of hyper-focus. I accomplished the "getting started" part, now I have to think through the "keeping it up" part. I have a long road ahead!

Reading other success stories of women who have lost 80-100lbs is really helpful and inspiring...when I have the time. But by far the best tool is just consistently carrying out the act of logging calories, and reading the SparkCoach stuff.

One day at a time......
