Just what I needed!

This weekend was amazing!! It started off really wet, so we weren't able to have the boys' BMX race on Saturday, but we made do. Friday, I rented some movies and we just hung out at the house. My oldest had a friend over so they were occupied playing the XBox. Saturday, I woke up early and made strawberry crepes for the kids and hubby. They were delicious!! I let the kids play outside while I got somethings done around the house. They played so hard that they actually laid down to take a nap! I had a 2 1/2 hr window of opportunity to get more stuff done around the house! I felt so productive! Then I took the kids to get ice cream and they played outside before it got dark. I fell asleep early that night while the kids were watching a movie. Hubby came home and put me to bed and kept the kids up until 1:30 am from what I heard!
Sunday was amazing! Since everyone was up late last night, I woke up to absolute silence! I sat outside on my porch and just hung out for an hour and a half! I did nothing in order to preserve the silence for as long as possible! It was so nice to just relax! Then when my oldest woke up I went and got donuts and coffee. I only had one donut and some scrambled eggs. I was so proud of myself for not completely indulging! Eric took the kids out while I finished up around the house, took some stuff to the Goodwill, and then we watched them ride for a while. We had leftovers for lunch to clean out the fridge (which we never do so I was very excited about not having to throw away food!) We met up with a family from the BMX track and went for a bike ride around the city lake/park and let the kids exert a ton of energy! This was quite a workout! We went riding for about 45 minutes. Then spent about 30 minutes spinning the kids on the merry-go-round! Ugh! My arms felt like jello afterwards! And they are extremely sore today! Then me and my friend rode back to the house to get the cars and drinks. We took their dog back to the park and I ran around with her for a while! Now I really want a dog!! An excellent excuse to get out and moving! We had burgers for dinner, camped out in the living room for a while before heading to bed.
I am so sore this morning it is unreal! But it feels so good! I think I'm going to do home and pop in my Zumba DVD! I know the best way to relieve this pain is to do more! I feel like this weekend sparked something in me! I've been eating right and being productive. I want to keep it up! And I want to be more active!
