I have been somewhat depressed by this horrid snow, and I find myself eating mindlessly. As a result I have regained about 3 lbs. I know how to do this, tracking, drinking water, planning meals, exercising and I generally enjoy just those things! But I need to rededicate myself to doing them all at the same time!
My DH and I went on a date on Friday and our goal was go get birthday gifts for our two daughters who have birthdays this week, we did that and I had time to try on some clothes for myself too. I had capri pants and dress pants to try on they were 3 different sizes Petites, ladies and Womans. I was disgusted, Petites were still too snug, but they were the right cut and length. Ladies were better but the waist was too high. Womens the waist gaps in the back, too high at the waist, and TOO long in the leg. I didn't buy anything even though it was all on sale and I also had a coupon! My DD #2 calls pants that gap at the waist "Flower Pot Pants" because they flare out at the waist!
As a result of that experience I am re-motivated to lose more weight so I can actually wear petite sizes again. I have tried on all the shorts and capris in my closet and all of them are more than one size too big, but I hate to spend the money on something that doesn't fit right either. It isn't warm enough to wear them yet so I have a little time, but I need to be dedicated to doing it.
My Fitbit has kept me walking and doing other activities, and the ever truthful Aria scale keeps me looking at that body fat number :( But I found out that on the Fitbit I can use the timer for my exercise and it tracks the steps and distance from zero and adds it as an activity on the log. When I turn the timer off it adds those steps to the ones I already had for the day. I think that's great because now there is no guessing or calculation required!
Today is DD#4's birthday and we have planned lunch out (got it all planned!), and no homeschool this afternoon, we are going to the mall to exchange her jeans and just shop, walk, and have fun with DD#5 at the play area. ( got my quarters all ready for the rides!)
I usually get 4-5000 steps at the mall and no slippery sidewalks so I can walk faster. DD#5 likes to ride in the stroller if it's moving fast! GOAL!
I will have someone take pictures today so I can see my progress- Petite sizes here I come!
