So this morning I am happy happy happy (as Si would say from Duck Dynasty)! I did my last run this morning for the 5K challenge. It was a 5 week long challenge of run/walking 3 times a week. I did not hit my goal time but I did complete it and that it itself is rewarding. My scale my not always reflect my efforts but I feel great from doing it. Don't get me wrong, my rear is a little sore from the run, but it is a good kinda sore. The kind that reminds you that you are no longer a couch potato. ha ha!
Last week I started low carbs and I did great 5 out of 7 days. Friday I caved as we had a PTA function at school with NO healthy options and I had to be there right after work to help set it up. So needless to say the hot dog and icecream I had did not help the no carb cause. Also Sundays we travel to families and I am at the mercy when it comes to eating. I did okay but I did have Macaroni and cheese. I think it was the best I have ever eatten. I think going low carbs makes you truly appreciate one when you eat it. ha ha! Today I am back to track. This morning was low carb yogurt and fruit, lunch is a salad and dinner is broiled flounder along with alot of fruits and veggies today.
My goal this week is to get into the 180's by Friday. So wish me luck!
