Mostly nutritious - photo food journal - April 19-21

A whole weekend's worth (minus a couple of things I didn't take pics of. I felt a little silly taking pics of everything at times when I was in a group. Gotta remember there's nothing wrong or silly about my little personal project, really.)

Friday breakfast

Grape nuts, milk, almonds, craisins

Friday lunch - chopped veggie salad and hard boiled egg

Friday dinner - from the local supermarket prepared foods, turkey loaf, creamed spinach and wild rice salad

Friday night - "mix of sun and clouds" -white rum and ginger beer, pistachios

Piece of marzipan covered in dark chocolate


Moving on Saturday:

Saturday breakfast - pancakes and maple syrup

cheese/crackers/olives snack

Prosecco and st germain

Individual pizza making bar - tomatoes, peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, chicken, cheese blend, tomato sauce, fresh basil, fresh mozzarella

We grilled these outside - and ate outside, too. Viva la warm months!

Happy birthday to everyone cake (peanut butter and chocolate ganache and butterfingers and peanuts and cream cheese frosting)




And Sunday:

Sunday morning brunch - strata - bread chunks, field roast sausage, spinach, gruyere topped with eggs and milk custard, stored overnight and baked in the morning.

Giant salad of greens, tomatoes, many peppers, carrots, edamame, cucumbers, mushrooms, basil, onions, couple spoonfuls of wild rice salad, almonds, dressing: olive oil, champagne vinegar, shredded basil, lemon juice, salt and pepper
