Kyle Sherman, and Love & the Outcome, were opening acts. If you're on FaceBook and are a contemporary Christian music fan, consider helping out some struggling Christian artists by clicking "like" on their FB pages. (I had never heard of either of them & assume you haven't either, so consider giving them a helping hand.)
The Afters also performed before Francesa, and I liked them the best.
Francesca has 3 albums. Here are some of her songs you might know, in no particular order, that she performed at the concert:
Beautiful, Beautiful (like sunlight burning at midnight; making my life something so . . .)
Free to be Me
Hundred More Years
I'm Letting Go
Motion of Mercy
This Is The Stuff (I lost my keys)
I have to admit I felt a little bit . . . okay quite a bit . . . old. And I'm only 50. But much of the music (unless you already knew the lyrics by heart) I couldn't tell what the words were. I don't know if this is because they were in a highschool using less than wonderful sound equipment, or not. They were heavy on the rock-band part, a little too lacking on the worship part for my liking (unneccesarily too loud & too rocky & too much bass). On reflection, I think this might be the "normal concert take", i.e. when you're at a concert it's loud etc., and it doesn't necessarily sound like the album cut or the You Tube recording/radio version.
I still enjoyed my evening though, and am grateful someone in my Life Group paid for my ticket. It's good for us oldies to see what's up with the younger generations.
