Inspired

Sunday, April 21, 2013

When reading a blog by another Sparkpeople member, I was inspired by her action and commitment. She reported that she had gone grocery shopping, and that some snack cakes on display tempted her, and that she actually picked them up, but eventually managed to walk away from them.

That was so helpful to me, because I had just made some cookies, and was probably going to eat not just one, shall we say.

In analyzing what happened, I was planning out my next week, reading, and not doing much at all. Baking the cookies and then eating them would probably have been an act of boredom, I think. It's really funny, too, because I rarely make cookies, and I never buy them. I had been putting groceries away in the freezer and saw some filling for cookies that I had made, and just mindlessly grabbed the filling, hauled out a recipe book, and started making them.

I am so glad she wrote her blog and that I happened on it! THANK YOU THIN133!

Part of the beauty of this site is the unexpected help we get from another's post. Their struggles, their victories are moments we share that make them our victories as well.

We are in this together!
