I call MYSELF to ACTION!

Sunday, April 21, 2013

Enough is enough! There is only so long a person can go before they have to pull themselves back up and get back with the living. If I read one more string of blogs, created by MYSELF, that makes promises, breaks them, and then just wallows in self-pity, I'm gonna scream! Don't get me wrong, we all have to have our times...we're only human after all. But at some point, something has truly got to give. I can't take the lack of energy, the achy joint pains, or being at the highest weight (and circumference) that I have ever been. It's just too much! emoticon

I need ME back! And for me this means that I want my energy back, my zest for activity, an active appreciation for the good health I am fortunate to have....all of this. I WANT IT BACK! emoticon

So with this blog, I am telling everyone, and most importantly MYSELF, that I am taking a turn for ME and my HEALTH. No matter how much homework, long hours, housework , and the laundry list of other daily needs that have to be addressed, I will fit this in. No EXCUSES! I'm done with this broken relationship I have with myself. I'm taking charge again. I will be an example to myself and for my kids. Wish me well!

You know, I feel exactly the same way. Something I read about a member who lost over 100 lbs is that she expects to have bad days once in a while and eat everything in sight but what's important is not to give up and "we'll, I blew it, my diet is destroyed". Instead she says it was just one bad day and each day is a new day to do well, to move toward our goals. This has helped me tremendously.
