Learning the hard way

Sunday, April 21, 2013

You remember that phrase "You will have to learn the hard way"? Well I have been taught a lesson and I "learned the hard way".

I made macaroni and cheese to share with several people, two of clients, and my brother. I keep one cup for me...yes, just one cup. It had sounded good and while it baked it smelt wonderful. So for dinner I ate that one cup along with a salad and other vegetables. I logged the food and stayed in my calorie range.

Okay you ask...what was the lesson. I have not eaten white flour or pasta in a couple of months. This dinner was yesterday, my joints hurt so bad today. I had forgotten how it made me feel.

No more white pasta or white flour products, if I can remember. Hopefully the next time I am tempted I will remember how I feel today.

Sometimes I wonder about the pasta and wheat in general.
