Gosh, Totally can't believe I haven't blogged anything since early February! I'm still here. Doing my thing. Living life, day by day. One day at a time.
After my blood work revealed my LDH was up in January, I had to meet with the wellness coordinator and dietitian at our Hospital to get a discount on my insurance. A total of 7 visits.
Since January, I have lost 10 pounds! Yay me!
It has been a slow process but slow and steady wins the race, right?
Back in February after I spoke with my wellness coordinator and dietitian , I changed my original plan of exercising every day for 100 day. Not because I wanted to, because that's what THEY recommended. The new plan was to exercise only 5 days a week and add strength training. The dietitian also recommended that we NOT FOCUS on calories? and focus on new goals such as snack portion sizes, 5 fruits and veggies a day, packing my lunch every day that I work. So I did this. And I didn't lose a thing....
So I changed back. Tracking and calorie counting(even if I didn't write it down I would mentally keep track) and I lost an additional 4 pounds MY WAY!!!
I also dusted off my bike, found 3 new riding buddies, and off I went. Hitting the dusty trail. I love, love, love the trail! We have a great rail trail here in Morgantown that is only 3 miles from my house. So I ride.
And when I am not riding with the girls, I am riding with my family. My 10 year old got a new bike for his birthday and loves to go with me.
I weigh in next Monday again at work so My short term goal is to lose 2 more pounds this week.
This week I will also be thinking about my goals for May. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
