Time for a blog.

Gosh, Totally can't believe I haven't blogged anything since early February! I'm still here. Doing my thing. Living life, day by day. One day at a time.
After my blood work revealed my LDH was up in January, I had to meet with the wellness coordinator and dietitian at our Hospital to get a discount on my insurance. A total of 7 visits.
Since January, I have lost 10 pounds! Yay me! emoticon It has been a slow process but slow and steady wins the race, right? emoticon emoticon emoticon

Back in February after I spoke with my wellness coordinator and dietitian , I changed my original plan of exercising every day for 100 day. Not because I wanted to, because that's what THEY recommended. The new plan was to exercise only 5 days a week and add strength training. The dietitian also recommended that we NOT FOCUS on calories? and focus on new goals such as snack portion sizes, 5 fruits and veggies a day, packing my lunch every day that I work. So I did this. And I didn't lose a thing....

So I changed back. Tracking and calorie counting(even if I didn't write it down I would mentally keep track) and I lost an additional 4 pounds MY WAY!!!

I also dusted off my bike, found 3 new riding buddies, and off I went. Hitting the dusty trail. I love, love, love the trail! We have a great rail trail here in Morgantown that is only 3 miles from my house. So I ride. emoticon And when I am not riding with the girls, I am riding with my family. My 10 year old got a new bike for his birthday and loves to go with me.

I weigh in next Monday again at work so My short term goal is to lose 2 more pounds this week.
This week I will also be thinking about my goals for May. Hope everyone has a wonderful week! emoticon emoticon

    emoticon Counting calories and eating healthy is the only thing that has helped me!! And riding my bike again for the first time in 15 years, got my weight coming off again! I posted a blog of the first video we did while riding our bikes! emoticon emoticon Keep blogging and telling us how you do! emoticon

    Yay, you! I have always found that calorie counting and tracking healthy food works best for me. So, it's a combination of what your dietitian told you and your plan. The cardio 5 days a week combined with st sounds good to me and I need to get back to doing it. Keep up the good work! Big hugs!
