Mini Blog/Update

Sunday, April 21, 2013

Ok, so, I'm headed for surgery Tuesday morning - less than 48 hours away.

I'm nervous and tired, but really looking forward to having it over with. A positive attitude is important.

My friend, who had surgery 2 weeks ago, was finally released to an assisted care facility, after 11 days in the hospital, and she will remain there for the next month or so. She's got a very positive attitude and the doctors/nurses are very happy with her progress. Thank you for your positive energy!

I'll try to update after surgery, but I'm guessing there may be some painkillers involved, so if I say anything embarrassing, wait until I'm fully coherent to tease me about it.

Hi, Melissa! So glad to learn of your friend's slow, but steady, progress. I've been thinking of you and will be so glad when Wednesday has arrived, because I'll know you're out of surgery and breathing more easily - or well on your way toward doing so! - by then. This less than two days 'til surgery must feel so nerve-wracking. I well remember what it felt like before my hysterectomy :::shudder::: But yeah, you will feel terrific on the meds emoticon And blog away while on them, my dear - you have earned it! (I remember wandering from room to room here in the house with a cup of tea in hand, giggling relentlessly, when I was on "the stuff" :) All the best, Susan
