Last week I pretty much phoned it in, if that. Not having a chance to get online much, I stuck with the SP app--which is okay, since I could do basic tracking and logging in, but I felt like an SP Slacker, not blogging or encouraging others. I'm hoping this week is better on that front!
And it's off to a great start, thanks to CBAILEYC, who organized a walk this morning. Five miles flew by (partly because she's so darn fast!), as we walked and chatted about life, fitness, and dogs. Mostly dogs, actually. It was so awesome to do something so positive and proactive. I'm treating today as another first step--that walk was a decision that led to a healthy snack, that led to smart grocery shopping, will lead to staying in control at the party I'm going to later, will lead to a smart bedtime, will lead to getting up early enough tomorrow to get in some exercise before work--a walk, a gym trip, even just strength exercises on my bedroom floor, will lead to a great breakfast, will lead to...Well, yeah, you see where I'm going with this, of course you do!
Thanks be to SparkFriends, real-life and virtual, who give each other the space to find what works best for each of us! We can all "get there"--it's just a matter of finding where "there" is, and how we want to travel.
