New beginnings, again...

Sunday, April 21, 2013

I have been preparing all week, for Monday. I am going to eat how I am supposed to, get back in the habit of exercising, and get back to my goal weight! It was sad when all of my skinny clothes I once got down to started to be too tight to wear. However, I know I made excuses since the holidays, said a lot of "starting next week" to myself, and continued to gain weight! I am now almost 20 pounds heavier than I need to be and am uncomfortable. Ready to feel great here we go! emoticon

I know you can do it. You have done such an amazing job. Good for you for realizing it's time to get back on track before the eating and weight gain get out of control.
Thanks for getting me going and for the motivational text this morning. Love you bunches! emoticon

Thank you for your post! It is so silly that we do this to ourselves, I often give myself the excuse oh, you will start Monday and eat whatever I want, feel miserable after, do it all the next week, etc. We just have to check ourselves! Good luck with everything! emoticon

I, too, "fell off the wagon" then got back on.

I lost 10 pounds (out of 15 I needed to to lose), then had a silly incident that totally threw me for a loop, and I got discouraged and quit.

It was all so stupid, I now can't believe that I decided to derail my progress like that! I have learned a lesson.

I started SP at 156 pounds in March 2011, lost 10 pounds quite quickly, then the scale seemed to get stuck. I experienced a plateau.

THEN, I noticed that my NordicTrack treadmill was showing I burned SO MANY CALORIES - 150 per mile walking at 2.3 miles per hour. My FitBit showed only 94 calories being burned for the same activity. I checked the burn with my sister's FitBit, and it showed the same thing.

Somehow, I allowed myself to sink into despair, stopped walking on the "lying" treadmill, and start eating without counting the calories.

Now, I just started again at 152.8, and am sure I will once again lose the first 10 pounds quite quickly. THIS TIME WHEN THE PLATEAU HITS, I WILL SEEK HELP AND WILL NOT THROW IN THE TOWEL!!!!!

Just wanted to let you know you are NOT THE ONLY ONE! You are not alone!
