So I have been really working lately to reduce my 1st mile time on the treadmill. I started at 17:42 the first time I timed it pushing myself. I know very slow. Well after one month of working on it yesterday I got 16:25. 1 minute 17 second down! My goal was to hit a 15 minute mile by the end of April but I don't know if that is possible in 10 days. I pushed too hard yesterday and now my knee is sore so I am taking today off from the treadmill and don't have another day off work until Friday so I won't be able to retime myself until then. Once I hit the 15 minute mile I am working toward a 30 minute 2 mile time. My jogging intervals are getting easier every time I work on them. My blood pressure is also getting lower which was a main goal to improve with my new lifestyle.
I have been working out one way or another almost daily, at least 5 times a week. On days I work I walk/jog in place 5000 of my daily steps to at least get activity in. This is increasing my endurance on the treadmill and making me feel better about myself.
It is going to be a long hard journey but that makes it worth it! I will appreciate all the hard work I am doing soon when the scale is moving and I am hitting my goals.
