I just found out, but I had to tell someone (waiting another month or so to announce it in "real life")!!
It was only our second month trying to conceive, so I am pretty shocked! I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which is the leading cause of female infertility in the US, and it took us nearly a year to get pregnant with my youngest (who is 7 now). I figured with my health issues, plus being 8 years older, that our chances weren't that great. I am so happy to be wrong! Thank you, Lord!!
I know that my weight loss (about 70 pounds) helped enormously! And it is a HUGE priority of mine to keep my weight in check! I still have plenty of extra weight, so I'm trying to shoot for only gaining 15 pounds. Then, after this little one is here safe and sound, I WILL reach my goal weight!
I'm planning on changing my calories a bit on SP, but I am setting a goal to log my food and stay within my goal the VAST majority of the time (my DR said 1700 calories is fine for the first trimester, as long as I'm getting enough protein and eating something if I'm hungry- even if I don't "have the calories for it").
All prayers for a healthy little one will be greatly appreciated!! Boy or girl, I don't care! I just can't believe I'm going to have another little one!! I'm already starting to get morning sickness, but at this point, I'm excited for it (I really am pregnant!). In another week or two, I'm sure I'll be singing another tune!
