Guess exercise really does help with those cramps

Sunday, April 21, 2013

I was really hoping TOM would hold off til after my long run, but nope. However, that does mean I shouldn't have it around my HM in 2 weeks - and since I did for the last 2 HMs, that makes me really happy!

What didn't make me happy was Lola throwing up on the bed at 10:30 pm last night. She seems fine today, but that is highly unusual. I'd already been asleep an hour & a half. Ugh? I ended up taking her out into the living room; we have a pet bed on our ouch she loves. Thankfully she didn't throw up anymore, but I spent a sleepless night.

Then went out & ran 8 miles this morning.

Sure took my mind off those cramps, anyway!

I spent a lot of time using the "focuses" from chi running. I still don't really get the pelvic rotation & I sure width I'd taken the bookout weeks ago, but I still have a couple more weeks to practice.

A while ago I took an online safe driving course from AARP. It got us a discount on our insurance. Boring as all get out - but it paid off big time & not just on the money we'll be saving.

My father's neurologist was going to tell my 87 yr old dad that he could drive again (he had brain surgery 6 months ago). All 3 of us children did not think he should, but the doctor didn't wantto tell him he couldn't.

I suggested that the doctor should suggest he could drive if he was evaluated by a third party; something I learned about in the course. And my brother the lawyer apparently sold it to the doctor. And my mother, who thinks my dad should still be allowed to drive (really, I think she just doesn't want to be the chaffeur at 85) is all for it too.

Totally a win-win.

Now I just pray they do not pass him & if they do pass him I pray he never injures anyone.

Have to remember that about the cramps! I thought it would make them worse for whatever reason. I also took a course for an insurance discount... yep... boring LOL!

That course sounds interesting. Glad to hear you got your father's doctor to agree to having his driving skills re-evaluated.

Not having TOM during HM is very nice :-)
Poor Lola.
Yay for 8 miles!
Oh, that does sound boring but a discount on insurance is always nice. Totally win about your dad.
