I came home from the Major Family Event a week ago and promptly developed a chest cold. So between the whirlwind weekend & being ill (I actually took sick time from work, which seldom happens) I did no exercise for nine days--a very unusual occurrence in my life.
Yesterday, I dragged my sad self to two gentle yoga classes, and today my abs are reminding me of their presence.
On one hand, I am glad to have accessed the muscles; but on the other hand, did my fitness decrease that much in 9 days?
Another note to self: even if you have a cold, do a little bit of gentle yoga every day.
