It was a lots of interesting mixmashed stuff today. I awoke in time to attend my walking group this morning. It was a great pre-walk session on the dangers of too much sodium in our diets and what we can use as healthier alternatives to the sodium-laced processed foods that saturate our world. That was followed by a mile-and-a half wak at a very lively clip in clear, beautiful weather.
After a brief carb recharge, a friend helped me recycle a bunch of boxes, clear out some things that need to be donated, and loaded some stuff in the car that need to go to my classroom at work.
Then, we gathered our swimming gear and headed for the Y for a couple of refreshing hours in the pool swimming, jogging, and playing catch with a large ball across the smaller pool. While my friend remained in the pool for another hour or so, I showered and worked out on a few of the machines in the weight room to see if I could loosen up some of the knots I have acquired over the last couple of days. While I waited for my friend to shower and get ready to head for home, I crashed in a comfy chair by the fireplace in the lounge area of the Y, which was lovely.
When we got home, my roommate, who is an amazing cook, had dinner waiting...a nice meal of baked yams and lean poultry, which was delicious. It was a great day, and I am well and truly blessed to be surrounded by good people.
