Novice Gardener in the House

Saturday, April 20, 2013

My husband built me these cool raised beds to plant my vegetables in. I planted these last Monday, April 15th

I have planted tomatoes, peppers, carrots, radishes, lettuce, cucumbers, green beans, and peas (not all are in the raised beds)

The radishes and the lettuce are already starting to sprout!

Today we planted our flower garden and I thought it turned out just beautiful.

We also planted some trees last year and they have made quite a bit of progress this year!

Finally....we got a visitor to our garden. He doesn't look super happy though.

Amazing!! How nice to see such a beautiful garden...Gardening is something I'd really like to add to my life, but I just haven't been able to fit it in yet. Soon, I hope though!

Love that you have the serial pictures of your trees and their growth. Trees always amaze me. Neat turtle. Thanks for sharing. How nice it will be to have your own fresh grown veggies. Not much of a gardener myself.

I'm SO jealous -- there is still snow on the ground where I live! Your flowers and trees look great - and the raised beds are so nice for growing in, less bending and fewer "bugs" that get into the plants. Kind of hard to tell about how happy the turtle is, tho -- maybe that IS his "happy face."

Best wishes for a great gardening season -- nothing better than your own fresh veggies!
