My youngest daughters cheerleader tryouts!!!!

Saturday, April 20, 2013

My youngest daughter, Sabrina (Brina) is 12 years old. She will be in the 7th grade next year. She had her first cheerleader tryouts on April 12, 2013. I was a nervous wreck of course, and didn't get any sleep the night before. Me and my daughter, Ashley were waiting in the cafeteria for tryouts to be over. There were two other girls in Brina's group. All of the parents, siblings and friends were getting really antsy and wanted tryouts to be over so we could find out if our girls made the cheerleading squad!!!! After what seemed like forever someone said that it was over and the girls were coming out of the gym. The first girl from Brina's group came running in smiling and held up her note saying she made the squad. Next came the other girl in Brina's group with a big smile saying she made it too. Brina still hadn't made it in yet so we started to get upset and worried about if she made it or not!!!! Then, all of a sudden Brina came walking in and she wasn't crying so we thought that must be a good sign. Then she got a big smile on her face and held up her note and told us that she made the squad!!!! We were so proud of her that we all hugged each other and cried together!!!! She has another sister who is a cheerleader and she's grown up always wanting to be a cheerleader and now she gets her time to shine!!!!I'm so proud of my baby girl and I love her so much!!!!

making the squad is only the beginning. now comes the drills, the uniforms, the pep rallies, the hard work.
