FEELING GREAT

I have been so depressed for the past few weeks but now things are looking up for me. I have decided it was time for me to start looking at my goals more closely and I am thinking that there is one more goal that I have to set forth and that is finishing my second book. I am writing a new book titled Growing Up and so far I have 8 chapters finished and now I have to sit down and write the other 4 chapters. But to me this book will be an ongoing one because I hope to write more about my life as I get old and grey I hope.

I have been eating 3 meals a day and having a light snack at night and so far so good. I even tried asparagus and I love it. Its the first time I have tried it and it is really good. I went for a walk today and managed to get in over 2000 steps. I would go out again tonight but it is raining here now and it is playing havoc on my left leg. My doctor got the results of my MRI and now I have to wait for him to call and set up an appointment for me.

Here is something I thought you would all like.

I was sitting here today thinking and I think it is time for me to get off my butt and start exercising more often and so I did 120 minutes of cardio fitness and another 120 minutes of zumba. I even started working with my favorite exercise ball and weights today. I have 3 lbs and 5 lbs weights and 10 lb ankle weights as well. If I take time out of my schedule I can do this.

So this is me saying that I Susan Walsh plan to take 2/ 60 minutes a day and workout so I can lose this fat off my body and reduce my BMI each and everyday. I hope that I can keep it up. I know that on May 1 2013 I will because I plan to start the 17 day diet with one other member of SparkPeople as well. We just hope that we can get others to join us. I even have some of my best friends from Ontario Canada doing it with me.

    Be careful with those heavy ankle weights..... I had such a bad episode of bursitis occur when I used hand weights, I'm such a weakling, eh? Right now my legs are so sore, after the back episode which sent me to hospital, I am seriously wondering what my body it doing to me... First, I thought it was just being on the new hardwood floors, then I thought it was going upstairs in the new house too, but this is almost 3 weeks already....???????

okay, so this is now starting Monday.... let's do it... Nice talking to you last nite. I made my turkey tenders with a lemon sauce and lemon flavoured baked potato wedges and steamed asparagus. love it too....

    Great job. But what are the ankle weights for? Hopefully not used during cardio or even walking. Those things are hard on a person's joints if used in that way. If they are for doing ST then they can be used safely though.

Anyway, keep it up and good luck with the book. I've always entertained writing a book but just haven't ever given it a go.

And that 2/60 minutes a day sounds like quite the challenge! But good luck! :) You can do it! So rooting for you!
