I ran a 10km this morning & my thoughts were with Boston. I noticed more runners out than normal & something about it made me very proud to be a runner. I also noticed that vehicles were better this week...they not only slowed down, but moved over if they could. Making me feel safer while on the streets.
Great job turning distress and outrage into positive action!
My teen daughter loves to run, and this week she was very puzzled that people kept honking the horn at her (wasn't happening before April 15). I told her runners all over the country were making it a point to encourage each other and show solidarity after the Boston attacks. (She was wearing long pants and inconspicuous athletic attire, by the way). I told it was just someone's way of saying, great job, way to go, let's all just keep running ! 1640 days ago
