Running for Boston

Saturday, April 20, 2013

This morning thousands of women all over the state of Arkansas wore these bibs in their running clinics.

We are proud to run -- because WE CAN!

    Absolutely great to see!!

I've really enjoyed your other recent blogs as well - especially the tip on getting out of the kitchen after you eat to make those cravings go away. Very helpful for me.

Later,

What a nice way for people far away to show they stand with traumatized Boston and it's runners. Patriotism shows in many different ways.

I ran a 10km this morning & my thoughts were with Boston. I noticed more runners out than normal & something about it made me very proud to be a runner. I also noticed that vehicles were better this week...they not only slowed down, but moved over if they could. Making me feel safer while on the streets.

Lets keep on Running!!

    Very attractive graphic!

Great job turning distress and outrage into positive action!

My teen daughter loves to run, and this week she was very puzzled that people kept honking the horn at her (wasn't happening before April 15). I told her runners all over the country were making it a point to encourage each other and show solidarity after the Boston attacks. (She was wearing long pants and inconspicuous athletic attire, by the way). I told it was just someone's way of saying, great job, way to go, let's all just keep running !
