Houston - Theres a problem that needs fixin!

Alrighty now! well good morning to you on a Saturday morning! I should put a disclaimer in here that says... she's just started drinking her morning coffee... and I havent blogged in forever. So there is noooo telling what rabbithole I might fall into! (sip sip sip)

It's been an awful week in the news. My heart cries out to all those folks who have gone thru so much this week and commend all the folks who caught the "kid" last night. Yes I was glued to the tube last nite and watched it all unfold.

Other than that - I have completed my first year in Human Resources.. and Im loving it. Who would have thought that I would like helping folks on the phone with whatever issue they are having. Just remember when you call Human Resources - we arent the enemy!

So a year sittin on my duff on the phone has done a number on my hiney. Its spread. SPAAAAread. Clothes are tight. I feel lazy. Im too tired after work and..

I just need to stop that! You and I both know that lazyness just breads more lazyness if you dont get a hold of it.. and shake it up. Just like eating unhealthy foods breeds eating more unhealthy foods. Candy in ONE dish - will multiply to multiple containers and then pretty soon it has taken over! SO I was like... WTH.. get a grip Rhonda.

That scale wont stop moving the wrong way - unless you decide that a. its NOT making you happy and b. you want to change it. Step A without B wont do a dern thing. We know this - right?

but of course... what happens when I put my feet down and hit the fllor in renewed lifestyle? There are kolaches and tacos and then donuts EVERYWHERE. Strangely enuff... the day of the kolache meeting - was about wellness and how we SHOULDNT eat those thigns. The boss was flustered by the information - you could tell. They normally give you apples and bananas for meetings. I sat there SMUG - cuz I didnt eat it. I know I shouldnt be SMUG. I think its just that renewed mindset sparting to come outa my head again. Just cuz its there and free.. doesnt mean I have to eat it.

So I justed off my workout clothes. Some are too tight. I went looking for a few tshirts. Since Im not a fan of fluorescent colors.. I walked outa the store empty handed. I'll figure out something else. Well I found some company tshirts in the gift shop (ok and a new tote bag too) -- so I have two new shirts.. and I got my sparkpeople water bottle out too. poor thing was dusty! SHAME SHAME!

FIRST LESSON: do not wear your throwdown socks on your first treadmill session. Yes I got a bruise ie blister on my callas on my foot! well shiet. So I dug out my good socks... then I hit the recumbant (while my foot calmed down) ....
oh yeah
LESSON TWO: be careful watching the lil tvs on the treadmill. Ohhh they make me sick to my stomach! And also... I dont think Im working near as hard when trying to watch it.

Recumbent biking is fun. No I cant stop mashing the buttons and changing the ummm... not incline... I guess its the speed thingie.. so Im like UP and up and up and down down down.. up and up and up... Im entertaining myself!

I survived. My back hurts. Not sure if its from gripping the handles or just being fat. But oh well. Probably the fat. Yup.. Im sure my excel belly is pulling on my back again. BLAH.

Its shameful ya know? I look at my calves and see how soft they have gotten. But i am sure that those same muscles are hiding in there! Somewhere. I will find them again. I got a new oxygen magazine.. theres lots to read (after I tear out all the dern ads in the thing!. They drive me crazy.

Im back to sparkly and find there are alot more ads around here too. weird.

Of course there are about a zillion places that want you to track your exercise with them. Work is going to have one that starts May 1st. Walgreens wants me to put my stuff there. And another and another. I think I'm best tring to put it all back here. Cuz I kow that works. Not sure how to track food at work. But I'll figure it out. So next week... I will continue my renewed gym time AND track my food stuffs. I definately did good this week. So its just another week, right? No biggie!

well my coffee cups empty... so I guess I'll finish and go.

    Great to see you're back on board... (this reminds me once again to reschedule my MDA appts) My life has just been too much the mad whirl, been doing fine health-wise so I couldn't see putting myself thru stress/strain!
    I should be down there near the end of June, I'll let ya know!
