Juice fast day 9

Yesterday was a breeze, I feel like I've turned a corner and the strain of restricting myself is lessened. I reminds me of when you're running and you have to push through that first bout of fatigue, and then you get into the zone where it's all about the rhythm and your breathing.

I only lost 0.4 today, but a loss is a loss. I didn't exercise or really get off my butt at all so I'm not unhappy about that. Today we're going for a long walk at the beach with the dog, then some yard work if the weather holds. Hopefully that will burn a few calories.

I was celebrating the successes of my loved ones yesterday, and it made me really happy. My boyfriend has lost a grand total of 15 pounds and he is fitting into clothes that he hasn't worn for 8 years. He looks healthier and I can tell he's happier. My sister is taking her advanced paramedics course, and came out top of her class on her practical exam. This is the second time she has scored the top mark in her training. I'm very proud of her, and happy to think that if I ever got hurt, I would be in the best hands xp.

Well I'm off to make my blueberry good morning juice :)

    You are doing great! Every ounce you lose counts and it adds up fast.
COngrats on your boyfriend for his loss, and your sister on her exam!

    The first five days were the hardest for me as far as cravings. I was pretty determined, so I just filled up with water and avoided watching tv or going out too much.

My favorite recipes are 1: Blueberry Mojito:blueberry, romaine, mint, cucumber, apple
2: zesty tomato: tomatoes, celery, cilantro, onion, lime, carrot, spinach
3: beet booster: beet, romaine, celery, parsley, apple, carrot

If you can stick with it you will be amazed at how good you feel. I used to spend all day on the couch watching tv and feeling sick. Today I did a 4k hike and walked at the beach for an hour :)

I am trying to last a full day or more on juice today. Fighting cravings is tough !!!

  I remember back when I used to run track and the first time I pushed through that block. It was exhilarating. I know my highschool track days are a while ago, but the feeling I remember, so I get what you are saying. Where before you didn't know if you could finish the lap, it turns into an easy breezy. I am there now also with the juicing except when the smells of supper are in the air. grrr. As I said before, you are so blessed to have your boyfriend with you and don't have that.
