Why try

Saturday, April 20, 2013

Why try anymore. Sorry, I am just really down about all the same things that have happened of late. Just what is the point of trying anymore.

Maybe a new moniker would help. Sorry, I just couldn't help myself. I am sorry for all your problems and hope things will pick up soon. We need folks who care around us--or at least cyber-space near.

A lot of us are sending prayers your way. emoticon

The point is to always try to create a better tomorrow. Even if the improvement is insignificant in comparison to the big picture, it is still an improvement. Don't expect every day to be a major world changer.

Just hang in there and move forward, a little each day. emoticon emoticon

I have been there and felt that way too, more than once, so I understand. I can't tell you what to do to get your energy and enthusiasm back but what I have done when I felt life wasn't worth living were (among several things):

--went to therapy and shared my feelings
--went to support groups
--cried a lot, wrote a lot in my journal, and then started all over again
--built up my spiritual resources
--walked and walked and walked for hours at the time until I was so tired that the feeling went away for that moment
--played music I could sing to, and sang and cried and sang some more; music is very healing

God bless you in finding your way. If you need or want to talk privately, you can email me.

Love, Chelsea emoticon

Sometimes it's not so much a question of trying as a matter of just continuing. emoticon

Why Try? I don;t know. What are your reasons for coming here in the first place. Did you do the goal thing; important, but I have done that before without success. I am hoping and even praying to my concept of god, that it will be different this time. One of the things that is different this time is writing out the goal and the big thing, writing out what the goal means to me. For me, it means getting a new hip replacement, but even more, it means I can hike, fish, make love, and do a lot of things I have not been able to do for a long time. And should they still refuse my new hip operation, I will still have an inner sense of accomplishment, a journey of loosing weight and enjoying that, with all the new thing I learn and all the new people I meet. And you are one of those people. So, why try? Because I like having you as a friend and I want to get to know you a lot better. Your new friend, Steve Oliphant

I think half of the fun in life is over coming the obstacles in my way of improving myself, one small step at a time. I really enjoy the challenge and when looking back, the many small steps I've taken and the sometimes long way I've come.

Whatever obstacles you have, you have to hang in there. The results of giving up are far worse. Hope things look up for you soon.

I hear you. Sometimes life can hand you out some difficult curve balls, and you have had quite a few recently. Sorry.

This will pass. It FEELS rotten, but feelings do pass, and time will bring changes. When you are on the bottom of a downward spiral, you can't go any further, so the next cycle is inevitably UP.

Which reminds me - why don't you go to the library and rent that DVD (or get it off Youtube, or from the internet). It is called "UP." It might be just the thing.

I'm pulling for you friend. You are a good person and the world always needs a lot of them - there are never enough!

We try because trying is hope, hope brings action, action brings change. I cannot imagine what these last days have been like for you and I offer my compassion. I try because I have to.
