I am on holiday next week AGAIN? What is with all the holidays, you may ask.
I have had trouble scheduling holidays for a few years so had a backlog to clear.
Plus, over the last couple of years my holidays were not as restful and refreshing as they could be, so I decided to take them in hand.
Instead of making more work (and expense) for myself by arranging a break away, I decided to focus on staycations, during which I have made exercise my priority. So this break I will add three Zumba classes to my usual routine, and they will be just about the first thing I do every day. I've found my fitness has improved markedly by doing this in my holidays this year.
I am taking a holiday from TV. If I don 't, I will find my sleep and wake patterns can get distorted and that is not a holiday for my body.
I am making my surroundings more appealing by doing chores and tidying with more attention than usual. The bed, bath and kitchen will receive housemaid service and the living room will be spruced up.
I am treating myself to flowers in the house.
I may explore some new shops. (I don't usually shop for fun, but sometimes it can be fun. I don't need to buy. And if I do, well, that's a holiday treat.)
I might plan my next holidays.
