Let's hear it for the Good Guys, Good Behavior and a job well done!!!!
Last night's capture, in the Boston Marathon case, showed how working together is a benefit to all. It does not matter who individually gets credit, what matters is the result. It is a partnership. What impressed me was the tone set, the cooperative effort which made me proud to be an American. It takes a good leader to direct the team, community and media to keep focused on the common goal.
It reminded me that on my journey it is better for it to be a cooperative effort. I need to stop creating drama. Not that I need to ignore pain or other issues, but it is just another parameter that I need to work with. I need to put my goal in the forefront and get the components needed in place. If they are not working I need to see what is needed to make it work or find something in its stead.
There were some questions about my workout buddy. Her name is Tini (as in martini). She was a rescue kitty, that had been named Teeny. We did not want her name to be limiting so we changed it slightly. We think she is mostly a Russian Blue... as as with many rescues details are a bit sketchy. She selected us, by gently and playfully pawing my arm as I walked by her as if to say, "Hey stop and play with me." For one so small, she is very self assured and knows how to get her needs met. For us it was love at first sight. :) She does like to "help" while I am on the computer by walking across the keyboard, sitting next to the mouse and getting in my face for some love.
Ah belonging, working together, even if you feel like an outsider, there are things that can bring you together, Everyone's role, no matter how small, is key.
Just like every action I take on my journey to a healthy lifestyle is key to making sustainable changes. Though sometimes I may feel alone on this journey, I do have many partners that are also vested in my success. I feel your support, feeling joy in success and empathy in the challenges.
Kind hearts, clear heads, a plan will get me to my goal.
