Hi to all my spark friends!
Here in Minnesota, we still have way to much snow.
This is a picture I took yesterday morning on my way in to work. Thank goodness for skyways and tunnels here in the frozen tundra state!
Tomorrow is my 10 month anniversary on Spark People and I was suppose to be at my first goal weight 2 months ago but I didn't quite make it.
That is simply ok with me because as I have learned, it is not about the destination, it is all about the journey and I have managed to lose 33 lbs so that is quite an accomplishment to me.
I have met so many friends along my journey that continue to inspire and spark me to continue on and to fight to get healthier everyday.
I had to put away a pair of my jeans that were once so snug I couldn't hardly button them and now they are so big on me they will fall off if I don't have a belt on.
I reset my weight goal to 5 lbs lower than the original goal and put the date of June 21st which will be by one year anniversary here. I may or may not reach it depending on how my body decides to act, but again, it is only a number and I am ok if I don't reach that exact number. I know that I will try my hardest by continuing to exercise and count those calories, but sometimes in spite of that, the body doesn't want to let go of some of the weight.
I know that I am hoping for Spring to get here so I can get outside again. I am not a fan of cold weather so I don't brave the elements.
Let's keep on fighting this battle until we are all healthier and leaner and most importantly, let's all learn to love ourselves regardless of the number on the scale!
Have a great weekend!
