You've heard it. "Oh, she looks just like her mother!" "He's the spirit 'n' image [not "spittin' image"] of his father!"

I look at my grandson Jack and see how much he looks he looks like my son in his childhood...like my late husband in HIS...and even like my father...

The other day my DD, fellow Sparker Glitterfairy77 and I were getting sandwiches at Subway when another customer came in. She asked if we were sisters. SISTERS! I laughed and said, "Oh, YES! Yes, we're SISTERS!" Hey, she's 35, I'll be 60...I don't mind looking younger!

I do have 3 sisters, and recognize our family resemblance. But I think it's strongest between my younger sister and me. This is my sister

And this is me

We joke about it, and on this photo I posted in my Facebook album, she commented "How the H--- did I end up in Peru?"

But I think my favorite anecdote is this:
One year my sister was visiting. I was upstairs, and she was talking to someone downstairs when our poodle, Franky, came up to her, put his paws on her leg, wagging his tail. She obliged, petting him as she continued talking. Then I came downstairs, talking to her - and Franky looked up, saw me, and did a double take. He pulled back suddenly and started barking accusingly at my sister for having deceived him. I think he must have been embarrassed to make such a mistake - "YOU'RE not Alpha Female!!!"

Of course, I'm sure our scents were similar due to our genetic makeup...still...great story... emoticon
