Note to self: don't do that again!

Saturday, April 20, 2013

This morning I woke up with a headache, a little nausea, dehydrated, and my face looks like Bette Davis in "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane."
Why? Did I get drunk, have a hangover? Not at all!
It's because I ate my body weight in sugary desserts and candy yesterday, so I slept very badly and feel ill this morning.
I'm *almost* glad this happened--it is a lesson to me to avoid sugar. I will picture my gruesome morning-face when I am tempted by sweets next time.

It's incredible, isn't it, how our body reacts to ingredients that are no longer 'normal' to our systems?? Thanks for sharing, Pat

I think it's great that you're turning a "mistake" into a lesson -- that's how we all learn. Great work! =)

Oh, I've been there! I call it a sugar/salt/gluten hangover! I've not had an "incident" since October. I still remember how terrible it made me feel...

I get like that from salty snacks.....OK, too much beer too late in the evening.
Good think you are not beating yourself up for it.........just noting that it was not a good thing; don't do it again; move on.
