week 16

My week wasn't top notch. I ate way to much calorie wise but I also made real bad choices, that's worse than eating too many calories, in my book.

I had stayed clear of sugar since the beginning of the year, yes I had a few bites here and there on valentine's day and when I went to the sugar shack, but in all, I really wasn't missing sugar at all. But last week, duh, I had chocolate, cookies, a muffin, candies... enough sugar to give me the drive to run the whole distance between here and Quebec all by myself. I just hope that this was a one time deal and that I'll be able to turn my back on sugar for an other 4 months.

I'm pretty happy to say that my long runs are coming along fine, I'm increasing the distance by 10% every week. Thursday, I ran 8.86 kms and next week's run will be 9.76 kms. I've also registered for my first official 10k race on Mother's day, it scared me to death when I clicked the submit button. I know I will have attained the distance by then but still, it's 10 kms!!!

I lost 1.5 lbs in the last 2 weeks, so I guess my boyfriend's scale wasn't in tune with mine or the sugar rush week I had made me put on a bit of weight. Don't know !
