SoulCollage and Soul-cial Change

Friday, April 19, 2013

Part of what I've been doing as a result of my SparkPeople Vision Collage is creating and producing videos, initially as a volunteer, now as a paid Virtual Assistant. Woo hoo! This 2-minute video was accepted for a global video montage for the International Expressive Art and Therapy Association's 10th International Biennial Conference in March 2013.

Here's an alternate link if your device is unable to view the video above. Please let me know if you still experience problems. I'm happy to help and value your interest.

WOW this is excellent! Very nice! I am glad you were able to upload it on SP video. I have had many issues with their video blog uploader. I was able to post X2 videos on SP and then I had to go to another site start a video blog there and post the link on SP. Again excellent work! emoticon

Its a beautiful video and you very much deserve all the recognition. I am very very inspired by how you put in 500 hours into something you felt passionate about without any idea about what was to follow. As they say 'Do your karma and don't worry about the fruits or rewards.' Its a translation from Hindi. All the best wishes for your future endeavours

Bobbi, the videos are all volunteer. In fact many of the SoulCollage Facilitators volunteer big efforts to help keep the global community active and vital. I get a small stipend each month to monitor and maintain the Facebook account (it's a small admin group, and what I love is the humanitarian and altruistic focus; membership is voluntary). Becoming the community manager of their dormant Facebook page was the result of my investing more than 500 volunteer hours to produce the one-hour Oracle video (http://vimeo.com/soulcollage/oracl
e). No one knew the effort I had put into this video until it was finished, and they appreciated it so much that I was offered the Facebook page stipend (which spread into several social media websites, in my enthusiasm). Thanks for your support!

Post blog:
We did something like this in a journaling workshop. It's fun too. Those collages embrace much more talent though than anything we created!
