Okay so I decided after wanting to this 3 years ago, I am going to attempt doing at least a 30 day Juice Feast. I tried to start yesterday, but was having a hard time sleeping, so ended having a lean cuisine at night...today is Day 1 of Week and at this point I will make it through the day and not feeling hungry either right now....Here is the plan
Although it won't be 100% juice feast, I am okay with it as I need to have a couple of teaspoons of Plain Greek yogurt to take my vitamins in the morning; if I don;t do so, I will end up having an upset stomach all day as I have learned that from experience
First thing in the morning, I will have a large some of water as I know I need to incorporate that in my plan as well. Shortly afterI will have a large glass of green juice (or called Green Lemonade)
After about 2 hours, I will take the vitamins with the yogurt.
Mid morning I will have a smaller glass of my citrus fruit juice...have to keep it in smaller proportion due to the sugar content of the fruits. I will need to have another large amount of water again
Lunch, I will have another large glass vegetable juice which I try to get as close to V-8 as possible, but never seem to get it to taste like the store bought juice probably due to no sodium. Someone suggested putting in a bit of garlic so I will try that tomorrow.
Mid afternoon, I will have a smaller glass of melon juice...again due to the sugar content and also have another large amount of water to get myself back up to 64 oz a day.
Lastly for dinner, I will have another larger glass of Green juice.
I went shopping today to get everything I need for the upcoming week and hopefully it will last as I spent my weekly budgeted food allowance on everything today.
I am hoping that the first week, I can shed a quick five pounds because I need to and to help encourage me. The first few days may be tough without having solid foods, but what the heck...when I was 21 years I used to starve myself for 5 days a week...at least doing this I am getting vitamins and nutrients. IF I can do this for 30 days, I will re-evaluate to see if I want to go another 30+.
Finally, I really need to get the motivation to get back into consistent exercising.
I'll check in next week to update my progress.
